Took my first Tae Kwon Do lesson at 7 years old, with Master Kim. 1967
Started boxing in the silver mittens division at 12 years old. Sept. '1973
Started Kenpo Karate when I was thirteen years old, with Instructor John Duncan. Aug. '1974
At 17 years old I started boxing in the golden gloves division, at the Lynn boy's club. Sept. '1977
Received my 1st dan, black belt in Kenpo Karate from Fred Villari at United Studio's. June '1978
Started cross training with Sensei Lou Hopkins at East Coast Karate Academy. Aug. '1978
Received my 2nd dan, in Kenpo Karate from Fred Villari at United Studio's. Jan. '1980
Started to cross train in Aikido with Sensei Alan McCarthy Oct. '1982
Received my 3rd dan, in Kenpo Karate from Fred Villari at Fred Villari's Studios. Dec. '1983
Received my 4th dan, in Kenpo from Sam Biancuzzo at Saugus Karate Kun-Fu April '1991
Had the privilege of working out privately with Grand Master Nick Cerio 1990 to 1998

Invited to work out with Guru Guy Chase, That was when I was introduced to =
Arnis-Escima-Kali, Pentjak Silat, Muay Thi, Grappling and Knife Fighting. Aug. '1993

Built and managed a new East Coast Karate and Aerobics School with Lou Hopkins. Sept.'1993

Promoted by Professor Nick Cerio to the rank of 5th dan Jan.'94
Started working out with Sifu Mike Williams on grappling, knife fighting, Jujitsu. May '1995
Became a member of the IBFG Global Network of Knifefighters! with Professor Tom Sotis 1995
Received Certificate in the Blade Fighters Guild by Professor Tom Sotis Nov. '1997
Promoted to 6th dan, from Guru John Savage Jan. 1997
Reconized as 6th dan by Hanshi Bruce Juchnik April 1999
Promoted to Seinor Instructor at the Martial Arts Research Institute 12-18-04

I have done several Triathlons and Marathons and presently still enjoy competing and being involved with all the local races.
